Data Storage:

"If it were really a memory you could say it had perfect recall,
but you can't personally teach it a thing" (Brand, 1988).

The issue of archival stability and technological obsolescence
are critical to the design of a computer based information
management system. Although seldom addressed outright, the issue
of archival stability, accessibility, and technological
obsolescence will undoubtedly become more prominent as the
concept of integrated information systems (hypermedia) is
employed in an expanding body of applications with extensive
storage requirements.
