Problems with Viewing

When a search produces an error you may be using an old version of Mosaic; to correct this, follow the steps below to get the latest version:

1. ftp to NCSA(ftp.ncsa.uiuc.edu) and get the appropriate binary from the /web directory.
2. Uncompress and copy into /usr/local/bin or equivalent
3. Execute Mosaic, click on open and type http://www.cs.odu.edu/WATERS/WATERS.html and add it to the hot list.

If you still have problems after following these steps, such as only being able to view the first page of a tiff file, the default viewers for your copy of Mosaic may not be set up correctly. To get information on how to set these up, click here.
