Radev" To: fox@fox.cs.vt.edu Dear Prof. Fox, I modified the PROFILE user interface so that you can try it and see if it can be used for query expansion. The demo is available at http://age.cs.columbia.edu:9002/~radev/profile The interface is a bit clunky and not all features work as advertised. Currently, you can perform two kinds of queries: by entity or by description. For query expansion, the second type of query is better. However, the underlying database is optimized for the first type of queries, so queries by description should take longer to execute.
