History Window WINDOWS PERSONAL LIBRARIAN History option in the Show Pulldown Menu displays a history of search numbers and their associated search criteria from the present session. History does not display search results. You may size, scroll, and Maximize a History Window as you would any standard Microsoft Windows 2.0 window. You may also tag on the Search ID # or on words from a previous search. (See Tagging Words in this Help system). A past Search ID # is expressed as Q_nnnn (Q underline any number). You may tag one or more Search ID #s for use with the Include option. This allows you to easily rerun old queries, combine queries, modify queries, and perform a successively narrowing search sequence. You may, for example, use the Include option to insert Q_5 not (Q_8 Q_9) to stipulate that you want to search for the results of Q_5 minus the results of Q_8 and Q_9). You may also combine past search identifiers, i.e., Q_5, with any other search variables, for example Q_5 not "budget". To include tagged query numbers for previous searches or tagged words (from previous searches) into the Search Window or Search Assistance Window, press the Include option in either window. If the History Window is not the Active Window, select the History Button (circle) on the Include Menu, then move your mouse pointer to the OK Button and click.
