Display Pulldown Menu 2: Displaying Non-Retrieved Documents For Displaying & Browsing Documents Not Retrieved By The Current Search: In some databases, the proximity within a database of one record to another may have significance. WINDOWS PERSONAL LIBRARIAN recognizes the need to browse documents that may be related to retrieved documents by their proximity in the database. Document by Doc ID # To move to any document (retrieved or not) using the Doc ID #, move your mouse pointer down to the Document by Doc ID option and click. A box appears with the following message: "Display Document with ID" followed by a box containing a number "1". To enter the Doc ID #, type the Doc ID # of the document you want to display on top of "1" and press the ENTER key or move your mouse pointer to the OK button. The document new will appear on the screen. If you wish to abort this Display option before displaying a new document, move your mouse pointer to the Cancel Button and click. Next Document in Database To display a document with a Doc ID # immediately following the current document, click on Next Document in Database. For example, if the active document has Doc ID #2779, activating Next Document in Database will bring up Doc ID #2780 in the Document Window. Previous Document in Database To display a document with a Doc ID # immediately preceding the current document, click on Previous Document in Database. For example, if the active document has Doc ID #2550, activating Previous Document in Database will bring up Doc ID #2549 in the Document Window.
