Display Pulldown Menu 1: Displaying Retrieved Documents To open the Display Pulldown Menu, move your mouse pointer to Display in the Program Line and click. This action opens the Display Pulldown Menu. The Display Pulldown Menu contains a menu of options, including the following: Next Page Previous Page Next Document Previous Document First Document Next Hit Word Top of Document Document at Rank Document by Doc ID # Next Document in Database Previous Document in Database Forms (Not yet available) By Sort on Field Next Page To move DOWN one screen of information towards the end of the current document in the Document Window, click on Next Page. Next Page will not move you to the next document. Previous Page To move BACK one screen of information towards the beginning of the current document in the Document Window, click on Previous Page. Previous Page will not move you to the document preceding your current document. Next Document To move to the next document (in ranking), move your mouse pointer to Next Document and click. "Next Document" means the document in Windows Personal Librarian that ranks the next lower according to the Probable Relevance Ranking. Previous Document To move to the previous document (in ranking), move your mouse pointer to the Previous Documentoption and click. "Previous Document" means the document in WINDOWS PERSONAL LIBRARIAN that ranks the next higher according to the Probable Relevance Ranking. First Document To move to the document ranked first in the Probable Relevance Ranking, move your mouse pointer to the First Document option and click. Next Hit Word To display the next screen of information in the current document that contains one or more words used in your last search, click on Next Hit Word. Each Hit Word appears in reverse video for easy identification. Top of Document To move to the first line of the current document, click on Top of Document. Document at Rank... To display a document different from the current document but retrieved by your last search, the click on Document at Rank. A box will appear with the following message: "Display Document of Rank" followed by a number "1" in reverse video. Type the Probable Relevance Ranking number of the document you want to display, then move the mouse pointer to the OK Button, and click to activate the display. The Cancel Button is provided in case you decide not to display a new document. If you wish to abort the display of a new document, move your mouse pointer to Cancel and click to close this option. NOTE: You may review a list of Document ID #s by activating the display of Document ID # for the List option. (See List Window in this Help system)
