Status Window The Status Window indicates how each term and associated Boolean operator in a search contributes to the final result of that search. For example, the Status Window will indicate the total Yield, i.e., number of documents retrieved, for each search variable. This determination of yields for each variable is progressive and culminates in the final yield which represents the total number of documents retrieved. This final number is also displayed on the Title Bar of the Document Window in the form of "number `n' of the total yield". You will notice that the Yield is displayed well before the top-ranked document is displayed in the Document Window. The time between the display of the Yield and the display of the document is due to the overhead processing requirements of the Microsoft Windows 2.0 graphics environment.
