Integration of technologies (machine to machine):

Issue:

Research in the development of preservation technologies suffers
from the confusion caused by rapid technological developments
that make the configuration of coherent systems difficult, and by
the lack of universal standards and protocols for data exchange
and storage, software and hardware environments, adaptor cards
(emulators), communications links, and operating systems.
