Monitoring Technological Developments (that will enhance
information management in the preservation process):

A variety of technologies can be expected to have a profound
influence on the preservation process of the future.  The
development of applications using these technologies will center
on the fundamental attributes of the computer as a CRM tool, and
will capitalize on what the computer does best: manage large and
diverse information bases to facilitate data integration, rapid
data retrieval, and interdisciplinary networking.
